Cat Hair Poster Series

The goal was to create a poster series using an element from a previous work which included pictures of my sister's cat, Pedro. I decided to use closeups of Pedro's hair, by heavily filtering them in Photoshop and using them as the imagery and texture. The unifying theme that also facilitates their differences are the three wash cycles. Each poster is assigned a wash cycle, Whites/Lights, Brights, and Darks, with corresponding wash symbols.

Glitch Album Art

Redesign of Paramore's Brick by Boring Brick album using glitch imagery. Inspiration for colors scheme came from their music Brick by Boring Brick music video, and I decided to keep the original logo, while tweeking the butterfly motif.

Logo Design

Two logo designs and two full texts for a client’s dance wear company. The first one had to stay in an angled script, while the second one allowed for more freedom of design.

The final decision was to keep the font the same for both logos.

1. Holy Array

2. Esther’s Royal Robes

Sharpie Drawing

Grid drawing using 2" squares on illustration board. The first step was to create a small version on a regular piece of paper and a grid collage of 1" square pieces of black and white magazine images. The goal was to recreate and double the size of the entire piece on illustration board. Replicating the imagery involved using Pointillism with Sharpie markers. Image content includes horses and riders, old train car with men, a KitchenAid appliance, and car engine parts.

Maximus

Digital 3D sculpture using Mudbox by Autodesk. Full body of Maximus from the film Gladiator.

Detail created using image stencils, and free hand sculpting.

Movie Poster Design

Mock movie poster for The Godfather. The goal was to simply communicate the film's overall theme of control, while still using appropriate colors.

TV Show Rebranding

Rebranding project for Marvel's Agent Carter TV series on ABC Network. The goal was to create a lower thirds advertising the show's logo, a bumper advertising for a possible season 2, and an intro if needed. The audio, characters, and logo belong to Marvel and ABC.

Exhibition

Artist Statement

This exhibition serves to depict the real stories and theories behind the Mother Goose nursery rhymes. Having grown up reading these rhymes, it was very eye opening to discover that most of them were quite dark, often scandalous in nature, and were used in place of political cartoons during the medieval era through the 19th century. Inspiration for the overall look came from art that is often seen in movie posters, and I wanted to present this series as if they were actually going to be released as movies. This exhibition also serves as an exploration of my digital painting, and imaging skills that I used in order to achieve the desired look and feel of the work. The purpose of this exhibition is to present the nursery rhymes in their unencrypted form, and to be seen for what they really are. What the audience can take away from this exhibition is a new outlook on the beloved rhymes that many of us grew up on, and the spark of an interest into further exploration
of the truth.
